Jaya Sheshadri

Jaya is currently completing a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) at UNSW and is planning to later pursue a Masters in Clinical Psychology.

With over three years of customer service experience, Jaya is skilled at assisting people with their enquiries in a warm and professional manner. She takes pride in using her interpersonal skills to make others feel comfortable and heard.

Jaya is experienced in working with children through her Research Assistant internship at the UNSW Parent-Child Research Clinic, where she helps assessors conduct assessments of young children presenting behavioural disorders. Her clinical exposure has fostered her ability to be empathetic, patient, and committed to confidentiality.

Jaya is also the recipient of the UNSW Science Vacation Research Scholarship, where she will be working with Black Dog Institute on a project exploring how AI can be used to better personalise and tailor treatment for depression. She is very excited to apply her research skills to contribute to a better understanding of how to support individuals with depression!

As a Client Support Officer at About Therapy, Jaya is the first point of contact for clients. She provides administrative support, manages enquiries, and helps ensure a smooth experience for everyone who walks through the door.
